Question: |
Short biography? |
Answer: |
I really don't like giving out my info yet, because I feel
kind of silly doing that seeing that I'm not really a big star yet. I
can
tell you I'm in my early twenties, about 6'3 180lbs, and bleach blonde
hair.
You'll know who I am when you see the movie. |
|
|
Q: |
I only know your name and that you're in 'Summer
Catch'. You're playing a baseball player, can you tell me a bit about
your character? |
A: |
I play a baseball player trying to make the big leagues by
playing in a amateur college summer league. Pro scouts come to watch us
play
and hopefully we'll get signed to a pro contract. |
|
|
Q: |
Are you a professional actor, did you do any movies
before 'SC'? What about your future plans? |
A: |
Summer Catch was my very first movie. We filmed it last
spring and early summer. I guess I'm a professional actor now. Since
"SUMMER
CATCH" I have worked on three films. "A Walk To Remember"
with Mandy Moore
and Shane West that comes out in January I believe. "Domestic
Disturbance"
with John Travolta and Vince Vaughn, and Black Knight with Martin
Lawerence.
All filmed locally in Wilmington,N.C. |
|
|
Q: |
Did you enjoy shooting the movie and working with
the other actors? Did you especially like shooting with a particular
actor? |
A: |
It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life. I
think working with Marc Blucus, Matt Lillard, and Wilmer Valderamma was
the
best. They are all hilarious. Jess was also very fun to work with. |
|
|
Q: |
Do you really play baseball off screen or was it
just for the movie? |
A: |
I played baseball my whole life so it was a real easy
transition for me. Marc Blucus was a very good baseball player he also
played
college basketball at Wake Forest with Tim Duncan who now plays for the
San
Antonio Spurs. |
|
|
Q: |
Did you also meet other actors outside the
shooting(go out with them,...)? |
A: |
After working 12-16 hours a day out in the heat playing
baseball all day and night you are really too tired to go out much.
Although
we did go out a few times. We all went to the wrap party though. The
whole
cast and crew attended. Before I worked on SUMMER CATCH I was an
extra on
Dawsons Creek that is filmed about three miles from my house and I've
been
out with Josh Jackson and Kerr a few times. Wilmington is like a small
hollywood, its pretty cool. |
|
|
Q: |
How long did the shoot take? |
A: |
The shoot was about three months give or take a few days.
It was very hot though. We did night and day shoots everyday, six days a
week. It was rough but totally worth it. |

QUESTIONS ON JESSICA BIEL -thanx to
Danielle |
|
|
Q: |
Did you also shoot with Jessica? If yes, how did you
like it? |
A: |
Personally I had no scenes alone with Jess but we talked
alot and she was super cool. Her boyfriend was also on set alot. He's
not in
the movie though. |
|
|
Q: |
Did you know Jessica before 'SC'(seen her on 7th
Heaven,...)? What did you expect her to be like? |
A: |
No I didn't know her before the movie, just saw her on 7th
Heaven a few times. From what I heard about her in magazines she sounded
kind
of snobby plus all that stuff she said about the show, but she wasn't
snobby
at all. She was super nice and real down to earth. Real pretty in person
too
and in unbelievable shape. |
|
|
Q: |
How was Jessica off-camera? Did you also talk to her
outside the shooting? |
A: |
TOTALLY AWESOME AND REALLY NICE! AFTER FILMING SHE WOULD
JUST USUALLY LEAVE AND HAVE HER DRIVER PICK HER UP, BUT BETWEEN TAKES
SHE WAS
REALLY SWEET. |
|
|
Q: |
This may be a ridiculous question but do you know
whether Jessica smokes or not (many fans would like to know)? |
A: |
I never saw her smoke so I doubt she does. She has such an
athletic body I would be shocked if she did. |
|
|
Q: |
Did you notice anything (that you can tell us) that
really surprised you about Jessica? |
A: |
I was really surprised that Jess signed every autograph that
was put in front of her it was really cool to see that. Freddie wouldn't
really sign anything. |
|
|
Q: |
If Jessica has stunts in this movie, does she do
them herself or have a stunt double? |
A: |
I don't think she has any stunts but you also have to know
that we don't work in every scene so she could have done some I don't
know. I
didn't see any. |
|
|
Q: |
What was your favorite scene to film? |
A: |
Probably just playing actual baseball everyday. It brought
back alot of memories from my childhood which was cool. There is nothing
like
playing ball with a bunch of guys you really get along with and having
all
the girls go nuts was pretty cool. In the movie Marc Blucus' character
has
the hots for only fat girls and we all give him a hard time about it and
there is one scene where he proclaims his love for fat girls in the bar
scene
after a game when he is drunk. It is hilarious. |
|
|
Q: |
When is/was the premiere of Summer Catch? |
A: |
The very first showing of Summer Catch was actually in Cape
Cod August 2nd. The LA premiere of SC is Aug.7 with one more showing in
Philadelphia August 20th. It's pretty awesome because I am orignally
from
Massachusetts about 15 miles from Cape Cod. So it was fun to see
everyone I
knew fom back home. My family and friends were proud. I was hoping Rich
(of LFO)
was
going to make it but he couldn't. |
|
|
Q: |
Reactions of the audience? |
A: |
The audience seemed to like it. Freddie
actually plays a character he's never played before. A little tense but
he
plays it really well. |
|
|
|
FINAL STATEMENT |
|
I would just love to see everyone go and see the movie
cause it has a good lesson. No matter what he doesn't give up on his
dreams
although they seem so far away and distant their are people holding him
back
but he overcomes it in the end. I don't want to ruin for ya. So I hope
you
enjoy it and it will be a good way to end the summer. |
